SUMMARY:Transfer Liaisons - Regional Networks (Meeting Option 1)
DESCRIPTION:Transfer Liaisons are asked to join one of two of our kickoff events for the SUNY Regional Transfer Networks\, an important next step in advancing our collective work to improve transfer student success across the SUNY system. The regional model has been designed to strengthen partnerships among geographically proximate campuses with strong transfer relationships\, while also creating opportunities for broader collaboration across affiliated institutions. \nPurpose of the Regional Transfer Networks\nThe Regional Transfer Networks aim to promote greater coherence\, consistency\, and efficiency in transfer practices across campuses while strengthening communication and collaboration among institutions. They are designed to support the alignment of policies\, procedures\, and student-facing practices\, and to establish a sustainable framework for ongoing engagement\, partnership\, and shared learning. \nKickoff Session Goals\nDuring the kickoff\, we will introduce the regional network structure and membership\, review roles\, expectations\, and timelines\, and share resources to support your regional convenings. \nWe will also establish expectations for liaisons in the development process. As part of this launch\, each liaison will be asked to convene or help organize a regional network meeting during the Fall term\, ensure participation from key stakeholders across the network—including academic leadership\, advising\, admissions\, registrar\, and faculty leadership—and begin developing a shared regional agenda and priorities aligned with SUNY’s transfer goals\, with support from the Office of Transfer and Articulation. \nAccess The Meeting

SUMMARY:The Transfer Horizon: Bridging Today’s Practice with Tomorrow’s Ecosystem

Dr. Heather Adams\, Founder of Transfer Nation\, will lead a forward-looking discussion on the evolving transfer landscape. Together\, we will explore emerging trends\, strategic partnerships\, and the collective action required to build a more equitable and seamless ecosystem. This is your opportunity to connect the dots between current practice and future possibilities.
