About the Listserv

The SUNY Transfer Support Listserv is a welcoming, collaborative space for all SUNY faculty and staff who support transfer students. No matter your role or department, your insights and experiences are valued—and your voice is always welcome.

The Transfer Support Listserv is designed to foster communication, coordination, and shared learning among faculty and staff involved in supporting transfer students across our campuses. With this list, we aim to:

• Foster Open Communication
  Provide a space for sharing updates, announcements, and important information related to transfer policies, tools, and initiatives.
  
  
• Encourage Collaboration and Peer Support
  Create opportunities for faculty and staff to ask questions, share best practices, and learn from one another’s experiences.
  
  
• Promote Consistency and Transparency
  Help ensure that transfer processes and course equivalencies are applied consistently across campuses by encouraging open dialogue and shared understanding.
  
  
• Support Professional Development
  Share invitations to training sessions, webinars, and other learning opportunities that help build capacity in transfer advising, curriculum planning, and use of transfer tools.
  
  
• Identify and Address Challenges
  Serve as a forum to surface common issues or barriers in the transfer process and work collaboratively toward practical solutions.
  
  
• Celebrate our Colleagues, our Successes and Innovations
  Highlight transfer champions, campus achievements, innovative practices, and success stories that improve the transfer experience for students.
