Intro to Europe Hist:1350-Pres
A systematic survey of European political, social, economic, cultural and intellectual history since the Renaissance. The course provides the student with the story of the origins, the pre-conditions, and the continuity of the "making" of the new Europe up to the present. Topics include the age of discovery, nation building, despotism, romanticism, nationalism, science and technology, ideologies and revolutions. An excellent basis for further study of European history in upper- division courses. Offered Annually.
