Intro Biological Anthropology
An introduction to biological anthropology with an emphasis on the interaction of biology and culture to explain human evolution and modern biological variation. An exploration of human evolutionary history from evidence grounded in paleoanthropology, genetics, archaeology, and primatology. Students examine evidence and practice the scientific method for data collection, analysis, and interpretation in weekly laboratory exercises.

Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. Apply methods used by biological anthropologists to explore natural phenomena, including observation, hypothesis development, measurement and data collection, experimentation, evaluation of evidence and employment of data analysis or mathematical modeling.
2. Construct scientific data, concepts, and models in biological anthropology.
