ENGR 292 Digital Electronics3 class hours, 2 lab hours, 4 credits.Boolean algebra; logic gates, arithmetic operations, combinational logic circuits, decoders and multiplexers, sequential logic, counters and shifters, ASCII code, data acquisition circuits; three bus CPU architecture. Laboratory experiments exemplify lecture material and include both hard-wired and simulated digital electronic circuits, using hardware descriptive languages (HDLs), e.g.,VHDL or Verilog, when appropriate.Prerequisite: MATH 101.[Spring]Previously ENGR 388.
