PHY 122 | Physics for Life Sci II
Second of a two-semester sequence of fast-paced introduction to physics with applications to biology, primarily for students majoring in biological sciences or pre-clinical programs. It focuses on electric circuit theory, electromagnetism, wave motion, optics, and radiation phenomena. Strong algebra skills and knowledge of the ideas of calculus are required. PHY122 may not be taken for credit in place of PHY119, PHY220 or PHY230. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE Natural Sciences. (3 hrs. lecture, 2 hrs. laboratory, 1 hr. recitation) Prerequisite: PHY121, MAT141.
