This training module is designed to help users effectively manage the display and editing of course equivalencies within the SUNY Transfer Equivalency Platform (STEP). It provides step-by-step guidance on the following key areas:

  • Campus Configuration Management – Learn how to set up and adjust campus-specific settings that control how equivalencies are displayed and processed in STEP.
  • Course Data Review – Understand how to access, view, and evaluate incoming course data.
  • Course Information Editing – Gain skills in modifying and customizing course details to reflect institutional policies and articulation agreements.
  • Guidance and Notes Management – Explore how to create and update campus-specific guidance, add course notes, and manage attribute inclusion.

Suggested Participants

  • Staff who maintain course equivalencies on campus within the SIS, Degree Works and within STEP.
  • Any IT/IR staff member who assists in maintaining course equivalency records on campus and within STEP.
  • Any technical or functional user interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the STEP environment.
