Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of the methods psychologists use to explore psychological phenomena.
2. Describe major concepts and theories within developmental psychology.

4. Discuss the role of biological, psychological, cognitive and social process in child development.
5. Critically evaluate empirical evidence concerning child development.
6. Apply child development concepts to further the development and welfare of children.
