Childhood Psychology

The developmental psychology for childhood education and early childhood education programs should span birth to about age 12 so that the full B-6 cohort is addressed. It should be noted that few 4-year campuses have fully separate B-2 programs and many students in the schools with B-2 programs opt for joint K-6 certification. The most common reason that Child Psychology courses are not currently accepted in transfer is the age span. A number of courses focus predominantly on the early years and do not cover to the age of 6-graders.
