An introduction to statistical methods. Topics include descriptive statistics (measures of central tendancy and dispersion, correlation) and basic inferential statistics such (sampling distributions; t-tests; chi squared test). Emphasis is on both the underlying conceptual framework of statistical analysis and on carrying out simple statistical procedures. Offered every semester.
