Prerequisites: BIO 109 and BIO 110 or permission of the Department.
This course explores the molecular, cellular and genetic processes of invertebrate and vertebrate development from fertilized egg to multicellular organism. The evolution of developmental mechanisms will also be discussed. A comparative study of invertebrate and vertebrate embryos will be included in the laboratory. (3 lecture, 3 laboratory hours) Laboratory fee applies.
