CHE 201 | Organic Chemistry I
Prerequisites: Minimum of "C" in CHE 152.
This is the first course of the CHE 201 - CHE 202 sequence. This 1st semester course in organic chemistry covers the nomenclature, physical properties, stereochemistry, structure-reactivity relationships, and reaction mechanisms of alkanes, alkenes and alkynes, Laboratory activities include organic synthesis, qualitative analysis and instrumental techniques. (3 lecture, 6 laboratory hours) Laboratory fee applies. Molecular model set required.
