HIS 107 is a survey of the major political, social, economic, intellectual, and cultural developments of the Latin American, Asian, African, European, and Middle Eastern civilizations, placing historical events, customs, and cultures in a global context. The course surveys the major ideas and events that shaped the values of the different world cultures and their institutions from the classical age to 1500.
