This course aims to introduce students to a broad range of cultural similarities and differences found among human populations. Focus will be on understanding the interconnectedness of different cultural elements such as subsistence, family, economics, political systems, and religion. Students will also be challenged to look at the inequalities found within culture based on social class, gender, race and ethnicity.
