Science Fiction
Deals with the future as seen through literature of science fiction. Among themes covered are the effect of science and technology on human beings in a futuristic landscape and the modern mythological journey of the heroine/hero. Among writers included are H.G. Wells, Robert Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, Frederick Pohl and Ursula LeGuin. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE Humanities. Prerequisite: ENG100 or ENG101. Offered on: A / 3 cr. hrs.
