Survey of American history from contact through 1865. Topics include: cross-cultural interactions and conflicts between Natives, Europeans, and Africans in North America; the establishment and development of colonial America; the American Revolution; the Constitution; westward expansion; social, cultural, political, and economic change and conflict in the 19th century; and enslavement, secession, and Civil War.
