Survey of American history from 1865 to the present. Topics include: westward migrations and the experiences of and consequences for Natives; industrialization, immigration, urbanization, and economic, social, and cultural incorporation and consolidation; the expanding role of the United States in the world, including during the imperialist age and through two world wars, the Cold War, and after; efforts to expand social justice and Civil Rights; globalization; and the present state of American politics, government, culture, and society.
