The American Red Cross Lifeguard program provides lifeguards with skills and knowledge necessary to keep patrons of aquatic facilities safe in and around the water. This program includes a lifeguard training course with aquatic-specific first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training. Prerequisite: must be able to swim.
