First half of the introductory sequence in Spanish which develops the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing with emphasis on communicative competence. Basic concepts of Spanish culture are introduced. Required online lab component. Notes: (1) This course is for students with little or no knowledge of Spanish. It is not appropriate for native/fluent speakers of Spanish, for whom SPN201 or SPN202 is recommended. More advanced students should see the department Chair/Academic Dean.
