This course introduces students to the profession of social work. Students will be acquainted with the purposes, structure, values, ethics, knowledge base, and practice methods of professional social work. The types of agencies employing social workers, and the client groups serviced by social workers will be examined. Through this course, students can determine their interest in pursuing a career in professional social work.Semester(s) Offered: Once per Year.
