Primarily for Physical Education majors. This course does not satisfy requirements for Nursing AAS or Liberal Arts and Sciences AS degree programs. This is the first course of a one-year, lecture-laboratory sequence. Lecture topics include homeostasis, chemistry, cells, tissues, the integumentary system, the skeletal system, the muscular system, the nervous system, and the special senses. Particular emphasis is placed on the role these systems play in human athletic performance.
