Quantitative Politic Analysis
How can research about politics be "scientific"? How can we draw conclusions about political phenomena in a systematic and testable way? This course provides an introduction to quantitative analytical methods a applied to the study of politics and public policy. Topics to be covered include: data gathering, descriptive and inferential statistics, tests of hypotheses, and basic mathematical modeling are covered. Prior completion of MAT109 or MAT166 is strongly recommended.Prerequisite(s): Sophomore Standing or POISemester(s) Offered: Fall, Spring.
