Macroeconomics
A study of both classical and modern theory focusing on the determination of national income, employment, and the rate of inflation. The major versions of the classical and Keynesian systems are developed, including a review of the consumption function and the behavior of investment. Specific modern problems, such as the effects of wage price controls, the institutional difficulties surrounding monetary and fiscal policy making, and the growth/no growth issue, are discussed. Meets 2023 General Education Social Sciences.
