An introductory expository writing course. Students will write a variety of short essays, culminating in a research essay. Emphasis is on close reading, discovering worthwhile topics, drafting and revising, and evaluation and presentation of evidence. Students will also be evaluated on the development and implementation of an oral presentation. Meets new General Education Basic Communication requirement or 2023 General Education Communications, Written and Oral.
