Social Psychology
This course provides an introduction to the study and explanation of social psychology, which is concerned with the effects of individuals, groups, and society on the cognition, emotions, and behavior of individuals. Topics include social psychology as science, the evolutionary origins of social behavior; persuasion; attitude formation and change; conformity and obedience; prejudice, stereotyping, and discrimination; interpersonal aggression; prosocial behavior; interpersonal attraction; and any additional topics as determined by the instructor. Prerequsites: PSYC 100 or SOCI 100 with a grade of 'C' or better. (3:3,0)
