Recommended background: BUS 103. Designed tointroduce students to event planning. The coursewill focus on the planning and management ofcorporate events, conferences, workshops, meetingsand conventions. Specific topics will include locationplanning, budgeting, venue requirements/contracts,menu planning, event marketing, guest registration,and risk/issue management. Projects will involve thestudent volunteering in an authentic event planningexperience.
