This course is designed for students having an interest in education as a field of study. The course will familiarize students with the history and functions of educational institutions as well as issues which impact students and teachers in learning settings from birth - grade 12. Students will explore the social factors, values, knowledge structures and technologies influencing curriculum and instruction. Up to 30 hours of unsupervised field experience also required in this course. Offered Fall, Spring, Summer, DL.
