Prerequisite: ENGL 101. This introductory courseis designed to increase understanding of effectiveinterpersonal communication behavior and skills inorder to increase success in academic, professionaland social situations. The course examinescommunication concepts, theory and the applicationof communication principles involved with humaninteraction in various contexts. Course contentincludes communication theory, perception, verbaland non-verbal communication, effective listening,intercultural communication, conflict management,and relational communication.
