Introductory principles of classical and modern physics. Mechanics of solids, periodic motion and sound, and heat and properties of matter. A transfer course for students majoring in biology, chemistry, mathematics, or health sciences. Students wishing to major in physics may take this course, but should transfer to PHYS 1820, 2830 and 2840 sequence after one semester. Lecture/laboratory. Prerequisite or Co-requisite: MATH 1411 or equivalent. Lab fee. (Fall)
