An introduction to both research methods and statistical methods in behavioral research. This includes an introduction to the scientific method, the development of testable hypotheses, measurement and assessment of behavior, ethical issues, and the design of descriptive and experimental research. Statistical methods will include an introduction to measures of central tendency, testing hypotheses, t-tests, analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation and regression analyses. [Prerequisite: PSY 101 and MAT 097 within 4 years or equivalent]
