This lab-based course introduces fundamental concepts in ecology. It explores the interactions between organisms and their environment, and discusses factors that influence organism abundance and distribution. Both living and non-living elements of a variety of ecosystems are discussed in addition to the influence of humans on these elements. Population, community and ecosystem-level ecology is discussed.
