An introduction to the equipment, controls and basic operating techniques in today's analog and digital recording and broadcasting studios, including hands-on experience with microphones, audio mixing console, digital recorders and signal processors. Students learn to distinguish characteristic sounds made by voices and musical instruments and to prepare master analog and digital recordings.
