Focusing on multi-track recording for music, podcasting/streaming/radio, television and film mediums, this course will also introduce digital audio recording equipment, software and use of MIDI sequence. Emphasis is on audio lab/studio, audio board and multi-track digital recording techniques including mixing, dubbing and signal control. Microphone selection and placement for music recording will be emphasized for both instruments and voice. Creative techniques in audio recording and processing to affect and attain desired sound will be demonstrated and explored.
