World Literature I is designed to acquaint students with great works by writers of world importance before the 15th century and to help them learn to understand and appreciate literature and cultures that are unfamiliar to them. Through reading the selected works, students will examine people's understanding and interpretation of the world, of their involvement with nature, God, society and themselves.
