A course in the basic management responsibilities of the hotel/resort industry. Examines the integral departments in hotels and resorts emphasizing human relations, operations, positions within the industry and problems facing the industry. The course also covers other sectors of the resort industry including, spas, golf courses and marinas. Explores the foundations of management planning, organizing, staffing, direction and controlling.
