Prerequisite: PSH 110. An examination of the ways in which social factors affect the thoughts, motivations, and behaviors of individuals. Topics covered include: the self, social perception, social cognition, attitudes and persuasion, stereotyping and prejudice, social influence, interpersonal attraction, group processes, helping behavior, and aggression. Current research, theories, methodologies, and applications are emphasized.
