Criminal Law
3 credits
Introduces students to the criminal law and the New York Penal Code. Examines the historical development of laws in the United States. Discusses the parties of crime, the elements of crime, inchoate crimes and the various categories of crime, including crimes against persons, property offenses and crimes that harm society. Analyzes the criminal defenses used in the Criminal Justice system. Prerequisite: CRJ 101 or PLG114.
