Introduces fundamental principles of physics. Includes one and two dimensional motion, Newton's laws, energy, momentum, rotation, statics, harmonic motion, waves, gravitation, fluid mechanics, heat, and ideal gases. A calculus based physics course for students in science and engineering related programs. Three class hours, three lab hours. Fall only. Prerequisite or corequisite: MAT 141 or higher or by placement.
