Introduces electric fields of discrete and continuous charges, Gauss's law, potential, DC circuits, capacitance, magnetic fields, Ampere's law, induction, Maxwell's equations, AC circuits, and thermodynamic processes and laws. Three class hours, three lab hours. Spring only. Prerequisites: PHY131 and MAT 142 (MAT 142 can be taken concurrently with PHY 132).
