Literature of the Bible

Students will read Old and New Testament selections and will discuss their various interpretations. Some historical background is provided, but emphasis will be on the archetypal figures and themes which have greatly influenced much of our imaginative literature. Prerequisite: ENG 1530. J occasionally; C occasionally.
