The nomenclature, properties, preparation, reaction mechanisms, and stereochemistry of the following classes of compounds are studied in this course: aliphatic hydrocarbons containing single, double, and triple bonds; alkyl halides; alcohols and ethers; and carbonyl compounds. 3 hrs. lect.
