Physical Anthropology

This course is a general survey of the principal areas of physical anthropology emphasizing human biological variation, human evolution, and the role of evolution and contemporary primates in the study of human development. Topics covered in this course include evolutionary theory, the fossil record of hominids, the impact of disease, forensic anthropology, primatology, and genetic influences on human populations.
