Organic Chemistry 2
This course is a continuation of CHE 211 and covers structure, reactivity, and the synthesis of aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids and amines. The Spectroscopic identification of organic compounds will be continued. The course includes survey of the chemistry of carbohydrates, dyes, amino acids, peptides, and proteins. Satisfies Natural Science curriculum laboratory science requirement. Prerequisite: CHE 211- Organic Chemistry 1. 4 cr. 3 Lec. 3 Lab.
