Prerequisite: BIOL 100 or BIOL 101or high schoolBiology. This is the first course in a two-semestersequence, and is intended for math/science or healthscience majors, or students interested in morerigorous scientific study. This course deals with thefundamental concepts and principles of biology, andexplores the topics of scientific methodology andthe nature of science, cell structure and function,basic biochemistry, molecular biology, biologicalenergy transformation, evolution, and a survey of theclassification of the three domains of organisms.
