Prerequisite: MATH 104 and higher, or MATH 102 witha minimum final grade of C+. Topics range from datacollection, descriptive statistics and linear regressionmodels to inferential statistics. Includes probability,counting principles, and binomial probabilitydistribution. Normal probability distribution andstudent's t-distribution are discussed in single andtwo-populations applications. Statistical inference(confidence intervals and hypothesis testing) insociology, psychology, and business/industry arestressed. Additional topics may include Chi-squaregoodness of fit test, tests for independence, andtesting the significance of the linear regression model.
