Transfer Path Faculty Collaboration

The Transfer Path Subcommittee serves as a faculty-led body that guides the development, review, and refinement of SUNY transfer pathways. Comprised of faculty and academic representatives from SUNY institutions, the subcommittee provides disciplinary expertise to help ensure pathways reflect current academic standards, support student success, and facilitate seamless transfer across the SUNY system.

Working collaboratively with campus subject matter experts, the subcommittee evaluates proposed pathway structures, identifies common curricular frameworks, and addresses areas where greater transfer consistency can benefit students. Members review course alignment, degree requirements, and learning outcomes to help create transparent transfer guidance that maintains academic integrity while maximizing opportunities for student mobility.

The subcommittee also helps identify emerging disciplines and areas where new transfer pathways may be beneficial. Through ongoing engagement with faculty, campuses, and system partners, it supports continuous improvement of SUNY’s transfer framework and advances efforts to reduce barriers to degree completion.

We invite faculty members to become involved by volunteering to participate in pathway review workgroups, sharing subject matter expertise, and providing feedback on proposed pathway structures. If you are interested in contributing to an existing review, you may submit your name and area of expertise for consideration as pathways move through the development process.
