General Chemistry II
Prerequisites: CHE 151.
General Chemistry II is the designated second-semester chemistry course in the SUNY Seamless Transfer Path. This course is recommended for students majoring in science or mathematics, or planning for a career as a physician's assistant or medical doctor. Topics covered in this course include study of oxidation-reduction reactions, chemical equilibrium, electrochemical cells, thermodynamics, and chemical kinetics. The laboratory emphasizes descriptive chemistry via qualitative analysis, and classical methods of gravimetric, volumetric, and basic instrumental analysis. (3 lecture, 3 laboratory hours) Laboratory fee applies.
