Anatomy and Physiology II is the second part of a two-course sequence in which the basic principles of the structure and function of the human body are discussed in depth. The topics covered include the endocrine system, the cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system and immunity, the respiratory system, the digestive system, metabolism, the urinary system, fluid/electrolyte and acid/base balance, the reproductive system, and development and genetics. An emphasis is placed on the interrelationships among the body systems and the regulation of the physiological functions involved in maintaining homeostasis. Special attention is given to the application of these principles and concepts to health-related areas. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE Natural Sciences.
