CHEM 112 is a continuation of CHEM 111. This course with focus on understanding the world around us by applying the principles studied in CHEM 111. Topics include: interparticle forces, states of matter, solutions, chemical equilibrium, acids and bases, electrochemistry, thermodynamics, organic chemistry, and biochemical molecules. Course fee of $25 is required. Prerequisites: completion of CHEM 111 with a grade of "C-" or higher; MATH 111 with a grade of "C-" or higher or placement of MATH 112 or higher; or permission of the instructor; and co-requisites: CHEM 112Y and CHEM 112X [Fall, Spring] Liberal Arts/Sciences Elective [3 credits] [3 contact hours]
