This course provides an overview of human development from conception to late childhood in the areas of physical, perceptual, cognitive, linguistic, and social development, as well as the development of identity and peer and family relationships. Historic (e.g., nature verses nurture) and and current (e.g., developmental systems) perspectives on human development will be explored. Developmental research methods and experimental design will also be reviewed. Prerequisite: PSYC 100 with a grade of C or better. (3:3,0)
